This not-your-average hotel is built from 100% recycled pallets and native plant debris. In warm climates the hotel functions as a nesting site and a dry place during the wet season. The hotel provides optimal habitats for insects in a garden, orchard or food forest to stimulate the diversity of insects. Having an assortment of insect types improves the health of greenscapes by acting as an exterminator to pests and promoting pollinators. Attracted tenants such as lacewings, hoverfly, ladybugs, beetles and earwigs consume pests such as lice, fleas and mites. Other insects drawn to the hotel are native bees, wasps and bumblebees.
